When I open chrome, a tab advertising bing also opens

Hi!

I have google set to my default browser, and DO NOT have bing set anywhere to open up. However sometime when I open up Google Chrome, a Bing tab will also open up in chrome, without my permission. I have looked in the chrome setting, and bing is not set as any option to open. How can i get this to stop?

    Hi. I reinstalled Bing Wallpaper, and uninstalled the Microsoft Bing Service, however another tab also opened up today from bing when i opened chrome. https://www.bing.com/?PC=U661

    Thanks for coming back to me.

    Open your Windows settings > Apps and features and look for “Microsoft Bing Service” (see the enclosed screenshot).

    Click on the three dots on the right and choose “Uninstall”.

    You shouldn't have random Bing tabs opening anymore.

    Can you try to uninstall and reinstall Bing Wallpaper, and see if the problem occurs again ? Once reinstalled, check again if you have the Microsoft Bing service installed on your PC. If it is the case, uninstall it.

    Hi,

    I don't have that installed anyway. The only Bing thing I have is the wallpaper
