I am however concerned as I am having problems with  my debit card details which have been accessed on 3 occasions and which I am unable to explain to my bank how. I have run a full Mcafee scan which says I have no problems

    Hi Fezlin,

Running Mcafee scan didn't fix this pop up virus completely. Better you will try to reset the browser and go to control panel check if any unknown software's installed.

Please download Malware Bytes trial from the link  Download Malwarebytes

    1. Install the malware bytes trial version.
    2. Restart the devices
    3. Run malwarebytes from desktop shortcut
    4. Click Scan
    5. Once it completed. If virus found, Remove it all.
    6. Finally reset the browser.

    Reset Internet Explorer

    1. Open Internet Explorer and click the Settingsbutton (cog icon) in the upper right-hand corner. SelectInternet Options from the drop-down menu.

Image 2. Click the Advancedtab in the Internet Options window. 3. Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click the Resetbutton.

Bing is a search engine and not a browser. Which browser are you using?

Most browsers offer extensions/add-ons which protect against unwanted advertisments, block sites from tracking you, enhance your privacy and block fake alerts/warnings/pop ups such as you sometimes get.

Personally, I use Firefox as a browser with the free extensions uBlock Origin and Ghostery.

In general, closing such a fake virus warning pop up should be all which you need to do...

    You say

" I am having problems with my debit card details which have been accessed on 3 occasions and which I am unable to explain to my bank how."

How, when and where have they been accessed?

Are you storing them in your browser's password manager?

IMO, it is best to use specialized password-managers.

Personally, I use the free LastPass extension.

And I would never recommend to store any really sensitive data such as credit card details/bank PIN numbers etc anywhere online. Not in browser-integrated password-managers nor in any extensions.

If you suspect that your computer has malware, a virus or whatever, I would start by running some scans...
