AMD Gaming Evolved App

Hello.

So far so good. I've been able to run mostly anything I throw at my HP Pavilion DV6 laptop.

Only problem I've run into is with **AMD Gaming Evolved app** which seemed to install nicely but when I try to run it the icon shows on notification area for some time and then dissapears.

Has anyone else had the same issue? Should I keep trying to work this out myself or can anyone confirm that it just isn't compatible with WIN 10 yet?

    Thank you John.

After some tinkering and updating my driver to the latest beta driver I managed to get my Gaming Evolved Client up and running just great.

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft community forum.

According to Microsoft Compatibility center we are not sure if AMD Gaming Evolved Client is compatible with Windows 10 Technical Preview or not.

To fix this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are listed. After each method, check if problem is fixed. If the problem is not fixed, try the next method.

Method 1:  First let’s check if AMD Gaming Evolved Client icon on System tray is hiding or not.

To always show all icons on the taskbar:

    1. Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click Properties.
    2. Under Notification area, click Customize.
    3. Select the Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar check box, and then click OK.

If issue persist, proceed to next method.

Method 2: If the program is compatible with Windows 8.1, it must run on Windows 10 Technical Preview. If the AMD Gaming Evolved Client is not compatible you may try installing AMD Gaming Evolved Client in Compatibility mode and check.

Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows(Also applies for Windows 10 Technical Preview)

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with Windows, let us know and will be glad to help.

I have no problem with running Amd Gaming evolved app in windows 10, but i does cause me problems with the Elite Dangerous launcher for some reason. The launcher keeps quitting by itself, (just disappears) and i have to restart it a few times to get it to work. If i shut down the app, then the launcher keeps running ok.

Also when the game does start, the launcher again disappears, but the game does run ok. This only appears to happen when the Amd app is running.
