Minesweeper Window Sizing (minimised/full-screen)

Silly question, but why is Minesweeper forced to run in full-screen mode?  Options available are to minimise or run full-screen.  Previously it had two opposing arrows (like Tap Tiles or Puzzle - both by MS) and you could resize window as normal - in addition to min/max/close options.  As far as I can tell window sizing has always been an issue for Minesweeper as some tiles on the game start screen (Treasure) would not show when screen was less than full-screen, but simple/quick draw games worked just fine.

    Hi.

I also find the full screen version of minesweeper very annoying, can it be rectified?
