Hello Microsoft Community
As a fellow user of Windows like you all, I would like to try and use the new Windows 11 to see how it is, in terms of performance and design, to test out myself how is it doing in different tasks and so on in Windows Insider Program.
I have an ACER ASPIRE 3 ( A315-41-R6B8 ) with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700U processor, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB Hard Disk, not a big deal, a laptop for personal use at university and light gaming.
I downloaded the PC Health Check application to verify if my PC is compatible with Windows 11 and I waited impatiently for it to say ”This PC is compatible with Windows 11” , but... instead of that it said: "This PC is not compatible with Windows 11".
I checked all the requirements:
Do I have TPM 2.0? - YES
Do I have at least a 2nd generation AMD processor compatible with Windows 11 with dual core? - YES
Do I have enough space to install it on my system? - YES
Do I have enough RAM memory? - YES
Then.. what is the matter I thought...
I opened the Windows Processor Requirements page for Windows 11, me knowing that 1st generation AMD processors are not supported in Windows 11, so I thought if 2nd generation processors are supported and I got one, why does Windows 11 is still incompatible?
Looking down the big list I realized that .. my 2nd generation processor AMD Ryzen 7 2700U isn't in that list...
There is AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 2700E and 2700X, but 2700U isn't there...
I want just to ask the following questions:
- It is a mistake from Microsoft? Maybe they forgot to add this processor in this big list?
- If it's intentional, why does Microsoft skipped this processor?
