This is a typical behaviour of a bloated SUS DB. I would start by cleaning it up. Also, if you think this is an urgent issue for you then you should raise a support case instead.

HI guys,
Need urgent help.
WSUS sync is failing since last few days. the error is below:
Sync failed: The request was aborted: The operation has timed out. Source: Microsoft.UpdateServices.Internal.DatabaseAccess.ApiRemotingCompressionProxy.GetWebResponse SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER 8376 (0x20B8)
the private memory of wsuspool is already set to 0
the maximum concurrent connection is set to 100 only
wsuspool queue length increase to 3000
maximum timeout set to 0
there is no network issue for sure as i can access internet or no proxy setting required.
apart from these two settings, what else can be done to fix the wsus sync failing issue.
do you think wsus maintenance needs to done ? also the network timeout value needs to be increased ?

Based on my experience, software update group will not disappear, and you do not need to create it manually.
If we uninstalled WSUS and SUP, the updates contained in the software update group remained in the console and were marked as expired.
Then if we reinstalled WSUS and SUP. Because both SUP and WSUS are new, we need to reconnect SUP to WSUS, complete WSUS configuration, and start a new synchronization and get new data from the new SUSDB.
After the synchronization with WSUS is completed, the updates contained in the software update group will return to their previous state.
