Hi
Welcome to Microsoft community.
Yes, you can technically download the Windows 11 ISO image on your Android device and then transfer it to a USB drive. However, creating a bootable USB drive from an Android device is not straightforward and generally not recommended due to various limitations of the Android operating system.
But if you don't have any other options, here's a general outline of how you could do it:
- Download the ISO: You can download the Windows 11 ISO file directly from Microsoft's official website using your phone's web browser.
- Transfer the ISO to USB: Connect your USB drive to your phone using an OTG cable. Then use a file manager app to move or copy the ISO file from your phone's storage to the USB drive.
However, simply transferring the ISO file onto a USB drive is not enough for it to be recognized as a bootable device by your computer. For that, you'd need additional steps which are quite complex on an Android device:
- Make The Drive Bootable: Making a bootable Windows installation media requires specific software like Rufus which unfortunately are not available for Android OS. There are some apps which claim to allow creating bootable drives but they may require root access and their compatibility varies widely between devices and aren't guaranteed to work with all PC hardware.
Given these complexities, I would strongly recommend finding access to another working PC where you can create this bootable media.
If this isn't possible and if you're comfortable with more advanced procedures, there are guides online that go into detail about how one might create a bootable USB drive directly from an Android device - but again this is complex and may require rooting your device which comes with its own set of risks.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.
