If you check your insider settings if it show 'Get started' button it's out of WIP.

At the moment it isn't downloaded but just in case delete content of folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and restart.

If it's still pending to downoad then pause updates, resume udates and let it chechk updates.

>Windows 10 version 22H2(OS Build 19045.3324

Since you have public released Windos 10 installed you can use shortcut to kick that device out of WIP.

  1. Open open regedit (push Win key and type regedit).
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
  3. On left panel right click that key and delete it.
  4. Close regedit and restart (may require two restart)

I have followed your instructions and I am still getting windows 11 preview builds and my machine is not compatible. I have tried to download four times now and each time my computer locks up and goes black after about 10 minutes of use, forcing a hard reboot.

I just want out, and I can't leave the program. Windows 10 is working fine on the machine, and I am happy with it.

    Steps here:

Leave the Windows Insider Program (microsoft.com)

    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program > Stop Insider Preview Builds to see your options.
    2. If you're in the Beta Channel or the Release Preview Channel, you can flip the switch to stop getting preview builds on your device when the next major release of Windows launches to the public.
    3. If you're in the Dev Channel or you'd like to stop getting preview builds immediately, you should use these instructions to complete a clean installation of Windows.

    Hope this helps.
