Hi, on Win 11 when using the Wireless Display App to cast my Android Phone to screen, it does accept keyboard input, but does not capture the mouse. When connecting I do get a notification "Wireless Display. To enable input go to your PC and select Action Center > Connect > select the Allow input checkbox". But there is no action centre in Win11 and clicking the notification goes back to the Wireless Display app.
How do i enable input to wireless display in windows 11
, it shows to click on your pc >action center >connect>select the check box. Please share video how to enable it>

2024-06-18T06:10:27+00:00 Hi Welcome to Microsoft community. Enabling input to a wireless display on Windows 11 typically involves a few steps. While I can't provide a video here, I can guide you through the process with detailed instructions. Here's how you can do it:
Steps to Enable Input to Wireless Display in Windows 11
Open Settings:
Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
Go to System:
In the Settings window, click on System.
Select Projecting to this PC:
On the left-hand sidebar, click on Projecting to this PC.
Configure Projecting Settings:
Under Some Windows and Android devices can project to this PC when you say it's OK, select the appropriate options from the dropdown menus:
Always Off: Change this to Available everywhere or Available everywhere on secure networks.
Ask to project to this PC: Choose Every time a connection is requested.
Require PIN for pairing: Select according to your preference (Optional).
This PC can be discovered for projection only when it's plugged in: Toggle this on or off based on your preference.
Enable Wireless Display Feature:
If you haven't already installed the Wireless Display feature, you need to add it:
Click on Optional features.
Click on Add a feature and search for Wireless Display.
Check the box next to Wireless Display and click Install.
Connect to Wireless Display:
Open the Action Center by clicking on the network, volume, or battery icon in the system tray or pressing Win + A.
Click on Connect.
If you want to enable input after projecting an Android device, here's what you need to know.
Windows 11 doesn't natively support full control of an Android device when using the Wireless Display (Miracast) feature. When you mirror your Android device's screen to your Windows 11 PC using Wireless Display, you can only view the content from your Android device on the PC's display. To interact with your Android device, you would need to do it directly on the Android device itself.
If you want to control your Android device from your PC, you would need to use third-party software or apps that provide this functionality. Some applications allow you to mirror your Android screen on your PC and offer control features using your mouse and keyboard. Let me know if you need further assistance.Best regardsDerrick Qian | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
