not receiving any new beta channel updates since windows insider beta channel 22635.xxxx released on may 23, 2024

I have not been receiving any new beta channel updates since windows insider beta channel 22635.3646 released on may 23, 2024.

I tried removing device from beta channel, joining release preview that is supposed to be on 26100.994 released on jun 20, 2024, and checking for updates produced nothing.

I tried removing device from release preview channel, joining beta channel again that is supposed to be on 22635.3858 released today jun 28, 2024, and checking for updates produced nothing.

Before all of the above i ran disk cleanup | clean up system files | selected everything including any windows update and prior windows version data and that made no change wrt seeing updates offered when running checking for updates on my 22635.3646 install.

Any insights on what step I've overlooked in order to get offered the updates that have been releasing since the last beta channel one i got back on may 23, 2024?

Anyone with new insights on why this happens and how to resolve.

My current work around is just keep watching https://microsoft.com/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso for new windows 11 24h2 release preview enterprise iso downloads and run setup from them.

Doesn't really explain why microsoft update has decided to never find and offer any updates, other than defender definition updates, for my two systems going back almost 2 months now.

i'm on windows [ 11 enterprise ] 24h2 26100.1150 registered for release preview track and i am not being offered 24h2 26100.1297 update that came out july 25, 2024.

the settings > windows update > windows insider program view is saying "a newer build is available in windows update" but when i click the windows update button and select "check online for updates from microsoft update" drop down option i do not get that offered that update download.

i was previously having similar issues moving from 23h2 beta channel build to the newer beta channel and 24h2 release preview builds and so i jumped ahead using the https://microsoft.com/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso iso download upgrade option to get on 26100.1150. I ensured i was configured for release preview insider program before and after doing that upgrade.

i have two different systems that are in this state and repo issue of not being offered advertised newer udpates?

any suggestions on why this is happening and possible fixes?

    Status Update:

On my w11 enterprise 23h2 beta 22635.3646 23may24 installation that seemed to have stopped receiving beta channel updates, and wouldn't pull the newer release preview updates when i switched to that configuration, i downloaded the current w11 24h2 release preview 26100.1150 09jul24 ISO and just ran setup from there.

This upgraded me to that w11 24h2 release preview 26100.1150 version and retained my enterprise sku install. I guess we'll see if Microsoft update downloads start working again with this more recent release preview build in place and my windows insider setting still configured for release preview train.

    Status Update:

Without having made any changes now when i run windows 11 enterprise "check for updates [ / IT wsus ]" process i no longer get the "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024000f)" message.

That said still when i run windows 11 enterprise "check online for updates from microsoft update [ / with insider beta channel enabled ]" i am not offered any of the known to exist beta channel updates for my beta 22635.3646 23may24 install, e.g. 22635.3720 07jun24 OR 22635.3810 25jun24 OR 22635.3858 28jun24. No change if i flip to release preview setting that is supposed to be pushing out 24h2 build numbers.

Has me wondering if microsoft perhaps throttled back the number of users it is allowing newer windows 11 insider 23h2 beta channel updates to be offered to and/or 24h2 release preview updates.

    Hi myusrn,

Download 22635.3790 from this site : Download Windows Insider Preview ISO (microsoft.com)

Run the .ISO from within Windows, keep your Docs etc and see how that works.
