I am currently on the Developer Channel. When I wanted to change it was too late, is there any way to force it to go back, or perhaps:

When will be the next time I can change to Beta Builds?

On build 26052 release announcement insider team tell that MS is preparing for Windows 11 v24H2. That's why Dev and Canary are temporarily get same builds.

Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26052 (Canary and Dev Channels) | Windows Insider Blog

*Starting with Build 26-xx today, Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels will see the versioning updated under Settings > System > About (and winver) to version 24H2.*This denotes that Windows 11, version 24H2 will be this year’s annual

    feature update.

    They also mentioned that:

At some point in the future, the Canary Channel will jump to higher build numbers.

Based on those statements I think that build series 26xxx will be base of 24H2 released later this year Sep. / Oct.

Some time before release of 24H2 Beta will also start getting those 26xxx builds and at that point it should be possible to change from Dev to Beta. Keep following this forum and Window insider blog Home | Windows Insider Blog to see what happen.

Note: This is only my opinion what may happen.

Hey, 👋 I know it’s been a while but is there any updates on when the dev channel will become beta? I really don’t wanna miss it!

Is there a way to force it into beta channel, and downgrade (Without losign data)? Because ever since I have changed channels, windows has been unreliable, and I regret it VERY MUCH.

Microsoft doesn't tell that in advance, but some times that change is available just before when Beta builds jump to release previews of next major release. Next possible moment for that option may have in autumn 2024 when 24H2 will be released to public and Beta channel start to get previews of 2025 builds.

***Note: That is just my own speculation, not any official fact.***
