One should not have to reinstall the whole OS just because an update is stuck, this is ridiculous.
Download Stuck at 8% for Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.26120.1252) (KB5038603)
Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with the Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.26120.1252) (KB5038603). The download remains stuck at 8% and does not progress. Here are some additional details about my system and what I have tried so far:
- Windows Version: Windows 11 Insider Preview
- Build Number: 10.0.26120.1252
- Update Type: KB5038603
Steps I have already tried:
- Restarting my computer.
- Checking my internet connection.
- Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
- Clearing the SoftwareDistribution folder.
- Temporarily disabling my antivirus and firewall.
Despite these attempts, the issue persists. Additionally, I have noticed that the TiWorker.exe process is using a high amount of CPU, which significantly slows down my system. This also causes frequent crashes in games and applications.
Do you have any suggestions or solutions to resolve this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

I had previously seen the error you show, also Windows Module Installer.
Both of those errors have disappeared since I got
26120.1252 by doing the steps I did in the other thread.
If nothing works, then I suggest you Pause Updates
until the next build comes out.

2024-08-23T14:37:36+00:00 Have you find the solution?
I am facing the exact same problem. I've restarted the Windows modules installer as well as windows update system. The cpu utilisation peaks to 80-85% and it makes the system very laggy and dysfunctional. Only way to stop it I found is to stop the update and restart. The moment you start the update, the error keep persisting. Let me know if anyone have any solution.
