In the setup process for my new desktop, one of the zillion questions was whether I wanted to install Power DVD Player. I thought okay, since I learned long ago that Windows Media Player doesn't work anymore to play movies on DVDs. Should have said no, and just installed VLC.
Long story short, Power DVD doesn't work well either, not on one of the movies I tested, so I installed VLC, which is great.
But I can't find either Cyberlink or Power DVD Player in my Control Panel Programs and Features, to uninstall that bloatware. Any ideas? I found online someone claiming that Freeraser is a good way to remove apps. True?
Sidebar: Microsoft should definitely approve 6th gen Intel Core processors for Windows 11. Even with all the hardware security features enabled, it is thoroughly acceptable performance-wise. Sure, the new one, 12th gen Intel Core, is faster for some things, but how much of that is because I'm using an SSD vs HDD?

Okay, good thinking. Yes, it does show up in the Start Menu apps list. Right clicking in that list did no good, however I did find it under Apps/Installed apps, so I clicked on the ... , found the uninstall option, and done.
Many thanks. I figured someone could guide me through this. Not sure why that Cyberlink suite didn't show up in the Control Panel, but it's okay now. Thanks!
