Cypress USB Driver

Anonymous

Hello ,

i'm trying to install a Cypress driver on a Mac M1 under Paralells or VMware Fusion and UTM with the the latest 22H2 Windows11 for ARM.

The Cypress setup says the driver install was succesfull but the USB comport stays assiged to the Microsoft driver instead of the Cypress driver.

Further more the USB hub is set to Generic Hub instead of UART USB from Cypress.

I've tested this an MAC book X86 with Paralells , VMWare Fusion and UTM, on this machine no problems at all.

Can somebody help or have some hints please.

Kind Regards

Patrick

Finally some decent answer , where can I get this support please?

I think you misundertood his answer due to lack of punctuation,

If you want support for Windows [comma] install Windows on a Windows computer. (non insider)

and there was nothing indecent about my answers.

You insist on getting official help from MS for something they don't support.

Besides, Insiders don't get official support on a Windows PC let alone a Mac.

    Microsoft Windows Insider Program Agreement

It seems this , it seems that .

As usual a whole lot of blablablabla instead of assistance .

If the thing can not run on a M1 just don't let it install in the first place whiteout any message /warning at all . This is what I call deception.

Can somebody help or have some hints please.

    Try Parallels forums.

The scenario is not officially supported by Microsoft.

ARM64 VMs are only supported on devices that meet the pre-requisites:

    • Windows 11 ARM-based PCs with a Microsoft SQ1, Microsoft SQ2, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 processor.
