Improving performance and responsiveness of Edge on Windows 10

Hi, so I got a Logitech mouse a while back with the infinite scroll which caused me to get addicted to Smooth Scrolling and now I cannot switch back. The issue though is that a recent Edge update came out and completely ruined Smooth Scrolling. It now incredibly slow and to be frank just garbage. I've tried downloading various Smooth Scrolling Extensions that allow me to manually tune it back to Chrome's but they have incredibly poor compatibility.
So I was wondering if there was any possible way to just rip the Smooth Scrolling settings/files straight out of Google Chrome where it's nice and snappy and transplant them into Edge? Or potentially roll back Edge until this is resolved?
I've really enjoyed this browser because things haven't just been needlessly changed for the worse like on Chrome but honestly this is pretty much just a deal breaker for me. If I can't fix this I'll be giving Brave a try or something.
