Sync between Chrome and (Chromium) Edge?

Since the new Edge is at least 95% compatible with Chrome, are there any tools, built-in or third-party, that can let me sync my Chrome bookmarks, history, and/or extensions with Edge?

Same here.  I allow Chrome to store my website passwords for sites that I don't care so much about like discussion forums.  Until another browser can do two-way sync with Chrome so that my computers, phones, and tablets all have those passwords, I have a huge disincentive to change to another browser.

I know Google has a disincentive to make it easy to use other browsers since they currently dominate the market with Chrome, but Microsoft should be making it a very high priority to allow this type of switching so they can get more users to give Edge a significant look.

For now it's not even worth looking at Edge for me because I know I can't switch 100% away from Chrome and Edge won't allow me to be an occasional user until I get used to it.

    That's not "it".

    You need to resync.

I'm asking for it to be done automatically.

That would give me confidence to switch between Chrome & Edge.

Without that auto-syncing, I will stick with Chrome by default, sorry.

hi BF. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 years Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Not yet. I'm not sure we'll see that either because MS and Google are competitors and not likely to encourage ways to use each others browsers even if built on the same platform.

But If you want to suggest this to Edge Developers you can choose the Edge Hub (three dots to right of URL address bar) then Help & Feedback, then Feedback form to fill out. If you want to post back a Share link to it from the Share button in the Feedback form, I will endorse it with my MVP badge and others who find this thread can vote it up and add to it.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I resolved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

This is exactly what I am looking for. Automatic sync between Chrome and Edge. Like you, without auto sync, i'll continue sticking with Chrome. Once automatic sync is allowed, i'll go to Edge.

I personally could consider switching over if Edge had a Linux port, but currently that isn't available, hence my request for two-way sync between Chrome/Chromium and Edge.
