Favorites Button in new Microsoft Edge

I just updated to the new Microsoft Edge And it's really screwed up my Favorites.

My previous Favorites folder is now labeled Other Favorites and is on my Favorites Bar.

Clicking on the favorites Button just shows the contents of my favorites bar...

Is there anything I can do to remove "other favorites" from my favorites bar and have it's contents shown when I click on the favorites button instead of the favorites bar?

    Hi Mr

In Edge, click the 3 dots at the top right and choose Favorites - Manage Favorites

On the left if that page is the 'Other Favorites' folder, open that

Tick the box beside each of your favorites to select them all

Then click and drag them onto the Favorites Bar entry in the left pane

That should put them all back on the favorites bar

In that Manage Favorites page, you can also rearrange your favorites into your preferred order . . .

    Hi Mr

Community is a user to user forum, I am just a user like yourself, I cannot speak as to who makes these decisions, if you would like to provide feedback to Microsoft, in Edge, press Alt+ Shift + i to open the Edge feedback panel and please provide feedback to the developers from there . . .

So your saying that Instead of how it used to be, and how other browsers work, The favorites bar (sometimes called the bookmarks toolbar), and the favorites Folder (bookmarks) Are now the same thing?

And you can't even rename or move the location of "other favorites"?

Who thought that was a good idea?

    Hi Mr

If you move items into the Other Favorites folder, that will appear on your Favorites Bar and on the Favorites Drop Down

If there are not items in that Other Favorites folder, then that will not appear on the Favorites Bar or on the drop down

I know how to move things onto the favorites bar, that's not the issue. My favorites bar is how I want it, except that there is now a folder called "other favorites" on it. Before the update that wasn't there.

When I used to click on the favorites icon (the star icon) It would open up a drop down list to show all the folders and links that are currently in the "other favorites" folder at the end of my favorites bar.

Now when I click on it, it brings up a drop down list of my favorites bar instead.

I don't want "other favorites" to show up on my favorites bar.

I don't want to directly see the contents of my favorites bar when I click on the favorites button, I want to see everything that has been dumped into "other Favorites" instead.
