Hello JoAnneLucia, I am Brian, an independent advisor and a fellow Microsoft user like you.
I, too, have experienced the changes that the new Microsoft Edge has to offer after the update. Let me help you out.
We all have our bookmarked web pages saved and pinned on the Favorites Bar of the old Microsoft Edge. Do not worry, those are not removed, it is just hidden by default.
To fix this, carefully follow the steps below;
(Check the screenshot for comparison as necessary)
You will now see your Favorites or bookmarked items on the new Microsoft Edge browser.
Hope these helps.
neither one of these new suggestions work ,still can not get all my favorites or my favorites bar back------- think I will have to see if I can uninstall the update and not allow anymore if this is how they treat people.
Hello JoAnneLucia, your prompt response is very much appreciated.
Can you please click the 3-dots icon on the top right-hand corner of the Edge window, hover your mouse pointer to Favorites, and click Manage Favorites.
You will see on the left, the Favorites bar, and Other Favorites.
There are random instances that some of our Favorites goes to the Other Favorites folder. You can check the respective folders for your missing Favorites items.
Then, you can press the keyboard shortcut to show your Favorites Bar on Edge,
CTRL + SHIFT + B
To set proper expectations, if you are still unable to find the other missing favorites, then the best way is to browse again those websites, and save it on the new Favorites bar of the new Microsoft Edge.
Hope this helps.
