Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 10

The new Edge is displaying all my favorites running across the BAR below the open tabs, and there are too many to see. My LIST is still off to the side. I used to be able to choose certain sites for the honor of being up in the BAR. Is there any way to do that in the new Edge? thanks

Hi Jeremy, my question says I already have the bar across the top in addition to the list down the side. The problem is, the Bar shows EVERY site of my favorites. I want to choose which from the side LIST show across the top in the BAR. I used to be able to designate only certain ones to show across the top.
Hi Rye-n-Chuck, have you tried doing a folder manually to show it on the favorites bar? here's how
To create a new favorite manually or folder to organize your links, use these steps:
Open Microsoft Edge.
Click the Settings and more (three-dotted) button from the top-right.
Select the Favorites submenu and choose the Manage favorites option.Microsoft Edge manage favorites option

Once you complete the steps, the new folder or link will be added to the favorite list.If you created the item in the wrong section, you can always drag and drop the item in the Favorite bar or any other folder.
Please Microsoft, just post a hand-holding video on this topic. Even though your words are clear, these instructions do not help achieve the desired goal which for me, is having all of my favorite folders with their own content listed vertically on the left side of my screen. The way it was in I.E. 10. Thanks. Oh, if that is still not possible just post that info as well. Thanks!

I have figured out that if I want a site to show on the BAR, I have to remove it from the Other Favorites Folder and move it to the top of the list labeled Favorites Bar. Oddly, there's no indication there that the top of the list will show up in the BAR and the bottom will remain only in the list you can access when you pull down the favorites menu. I have also put some folders in the BAR, so now I see those folders and and a few sites across the top on the BAR. The remainder of the Manage Favorites LIST remains off to the side only when holding that pull-down open, and I can see folders there too. So I can deal with it now. Thanks a bunch.
