Printer is not printing the date on print page

Before I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 & Windows Edge, my HP Officejet Pro 8610 would print the date on the bottom right of each page. Now that the laptop has been upgraded, it does not print the date. How do I get the upgraded system to print the date on each page?

    Ok sorry about the confusion.

    Try this...

    Start

    type 'printers'

    click on 'Printers & Scanners'

    Single click on your printer

    click 'Manage'

    choose 'Printing Preferences'

Look through those tabs and options to see if there is a way to enable a timestamp.

If not the new printer driver/software may not support doing it through the printer's software. We can try to get you setup in what ever program you're printing from.

After you complete the steps above, will you please return here and let me know the outcome.

    Thank you,

    -Adam

Hello my name is Adam and I am a Microsoft user like you and an Independent Advisor. I am very happy to help you with your problem.

I was able to find a guide to add a timestamp to HP printer preferences. You will need to open HP's printing preferences and follow this guide.

Please let me know if this does not solve your issue.

    Fred,

Okay so it sounds like you may just have to set each software up to print the timestamp. Are you trying to print from MS Word? or a pdf software?

Adam, Again thank you for your help & suggestions. Unfortunately, I have followed your instructions but still can not find Date Stamp, Insert Date or Add Date anywhere. I have also typed, in the "Type here to Search" box, my problem which sent me to Answeres.Micicrosoft and YOU!?!  I am lost.   Fred
