Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.

Steps that I have taken:

1.  I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.

2.  I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.

3.  I have deleted my Edge profile several times.

4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.

Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

What helped me is I just signed out of my account in the browser and then signed in again. :)

    The followings work for me:

    1. Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
    2. Create a image file with your profile picture, name it as "Edge Profile Picture.png" if it doesn't exist.

Microsoft Edge does not update any pictures. I updated images going into my web sites and noticed that there is a time lag of several hours during which photos uploaded using Filezilla are not updated. I switched to Google Chrome and found that my photos are updated almost immediately once uploaded.

This morning, I took the Edge icon off my taskbar and switched to Chrome. No problems after that.

It is possible that Microsoft pushed this one out the door without beta testing. I would uninstall it and then reinstall it later, when they have made sure that all the bugs were ironed out.
