Prevent Edge From Opening Whenever my computer wakes from sleep mode

I have a kvm switch and every time I switch back to my Win10 computer Edge opens. This also happens when my computer goes into sleep mode and I wake it up. Is there any way to prevent this? It only recently happened. Has a new "update" happened that includes this "feature"?

Hi Leaping_973 and thanks for reaching out. My name is Joseph. I'm an independent advisor. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I would suggest you refer to the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    1. Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)
    2. Go to Accounts - Sign-in options
    3. Scroll down to the Privacy section
    4. Turn off the setting to “Use my sign-in info to automatically finish settings up my device after an update or restart”

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

The "Use my sign-in ... an update or restart switch was already turned off. I've tried a good many suggested fixes to keep Microsoft Edge from activating when the computer wakes up.

change this registry key from 1 to 0. The only way to rid of this really annoying habbit of windows.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\EnableActiveProbing
