Hi there, I'm Jason Go, a developer and Microsoft enthusiast. Let me try to help you on this.
Have you tried setting the parallel downloading to enabled?
By default, Edge will create one connection to download a file. In contrast, parallel downloading creates multiple connection to download a file.
You may or may not notice significant changes in scenarios where your internet connection is really slow to modest. BUT what it does it creates multiple connections that in the event one connection disconnects, the other parts of your file are still downloading. It allows you to download the files uninterruptedly unlike with just one connection.
How to enable Parallel Downloading
Step 1: In the address bar type edge://flags
Step 2: Search for the flag "Parallel downloading"
Step 3: Set it to Enabled.
**Step 4:**Restart Microsoft Edge to take effect.
By the way, this flag is also available in chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave).
Let me know if it made your download speed faster. A yes vote will let me know. You may also mark this reply as an answer if it does help you.
Hey DepthPixels,
After following the steps which Paul suggested, you can do one more thing.
Note : This is an experimental feature, which is VERY stable, and safe. It will definitely speed up your download speed.
Hope this helps,
Your friendly neighborhood Insider.

R7anubis All the steps you and Paul wrote have already been tried out by me but still thanks and they didn't work. All this is happening from the last Windows Update. I Will Try The Fixer Which I Haven't yet.
Yes, sometimes, the new Windows updates break some features, or cause unnecessary issues.
Why don't you try going back to the previous update of windows? Wait for the next update, not the one which broke Edge, the one which will come after it. Update your windows directly to that version.
Hope this helps in some way,
Your friendly neighborhood Insider.
