Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My computer has died but I still have access to the hard drive. I've copied everything over to the new computer but I can't find my favorites in the Edge Chromium version. Would anyone know how to get those from the command line or Windows Explorer? I've read that I should be able to find them at %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft. MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\favorites but mine is empty.

Hi gmgbfisher
If you were using the new Edge Browser, then you should find 2 files in this folder, named Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak (back up file for Bookmarks)
Replace USERNAME with your user name . . .
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Bookmarks
I was trying to find my bookmarks as well. However, there's no Bookmarks folder in my c:\users%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\ folder, either on the new PC or old one. I wonder if Microsoft moved the favorites again... I have Windows Explorer set to show hidden files and protected operating system files, so the folder isn't just hidden as far as I can tell.
Hi, you should look in the \Default\ folder, this is the last layer. The file names are Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak (back up file for Bookmarks).
Hope that this is helpful.
Best.
I found my "bookmarks" in "Profile 1" not "Default"
I'm using Windows 10 fully up to date and the latest Edge app.
