I cannot get the computer to remember changes in Region, Language and settings from USA to UK help please

Oh dear! At this point Judith I'm starting to run out of options!

I think the major factor is that when first setting up the computer, it is extremely important to make sure the language and keyboard settings are set to what you want them to be. I'm not saying you selected them incorrectly or even selected anything at all, as often these can be annoyingly preset by the manufacturer. But not setting them can cause these issues to occur.

What I am saying is, at this point I can't think of much else to force this change.

There are a few options left.

Can you try doing the following for me:

Go to Settings > Time and Language > Click on "Language" on the left hand side and then click on "Administrative language settings" link on the right hand side.

On the Administrative tab, Click on the "Copy settings..." button.

Make sure that all the settings are set to what you want them to be first. If not, close this box and make the necessary changes until they are set to what you want them to be (English - United Kingdom). Then come back and click the Copy Settings button again and continue below.

Make sure you tick the two boxes "Welcome screen and system accounts" & "New user accounts".

Click the OK button.

Then see if this works after rebooting.

I am unable to change the keyboard language the only option is English USA.

Everthing else was ok but still not being remembered! I tried multiple attempts.thanks Judith

Ok Judith. At any point in my instructions were you unable to change anything or not complete a particular step?
