Sorry. I have done that also... didn't work. It is a Microsoft issue.

    Hello there

    I'm replying to everyone.

After I've tried everything including reinstalling Windows, I became convinced that the issue is Hardware, so since my computer is under warranty with in house service contract, I had my hard drive replaced first then the memory then the Graphic Card however the problem persisted. Finally I replaced the CPU and immediately solved it. The PROBLEM was the CPU.

I had this same issue and tried many, many things to no avail.  I tried copying msedge.exe to myedgebrowser.exe and sure enough it worked fine, the only issue was links in emails still got the error.  Finally, I found Edge was running in Win8 compatibility mode.  I turned this off, cleared the browser data, and now it is working fine again.  Good Luck!

I hope you have been able to find how to correct this error by now. I have been working with Microsoft and they are totally clueless. I have determined that the problem is in EDGE. I changed to Firefox not the best but it at least allows me to get the things done.

If anyone finds out how to correct please let me know.

This is the link Microsoft gave me to see if the software people could help. It is a waiting game.
