Other issues or features related to Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Reset the New Edge - didn't help. Have to use other browsers to upload photos to Facebook albums. Same happened on my other computer once I installed the New Edge browser.

Same problem here with latest Chromium Edge. Other browsers work fine.
Update: Found a workaround! When switching to the "new" facebook website layout (there is a button to change to the new style), the photo upload works. So it seems it is "only" broken in the current website layout.
just posted elsewhere:
FB on both Chrome and Firefox (Win10) frequently fails to fully load, and even when it appears to, things like the status popup and other java related[?] features often fail to work. generally ⌘/Win + R to refresh the page usually fixes the loading of content, but often it takes several reloads before things like the .gif search will load somewhatfully. there are now constant broken image/video links, and when submitting media in comments or posting to my feed, content will load, briefly flash a thumbnail, and then revert to the broken placeholder icon. don't even get me started on the settings pages and Activity...impossible.
i've tested, and it appears that running both browsers in safe mode has no effect. i'm left to assume that it's just Facehell, but if anyone has suggestions for getting to the bottom of the behaviors, like using the inspector pane, etc., please don't hesitate to let me know!
also, F Zuck and his soulless, predatory executives. UNHAPPY New Year, you &!@%$, and actual warm wishes for mostof the rest of you!

I tried Facebook on all browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge.
When I log into Facebook, on the tab above there is no FB logo just a blue light going back and forth horizontally like it's trying to complete the uploading of the page.
I see some photos but not all and my profile picture doesn't load.
It has to be something wrong on my Surface laptop with Windows 10 because I can log into Facebook fine at my office computer.
Hello Rey
No I didn't clear cache and cookies so be fore answering this post I went ahead and cleaned them all. Didn't help
As for the issue. Once I hit add photos button the new pop up windows opens up to choose the images I want to upload. I choose the image(s) and hit OK button and nothing happens. The window just closes rather then showing how images are loading (as in other browsers) and offering me add names etc
Hi Henesy,
I’m Rey, your Independent Advisor, and a Windows user, just like you.
I understand you are having trouble loading your Facebook photos in Edge Chromium.
Since it works on other browsers, meaning it's plainly in the Edge Chromium that has issues.
These are the basic troubleshooting for a browser that don't load photos.
Have you tried to delete the cache and cookies of the new Edge?
You may refer on this link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402794...
What error do you get and is it only the Facebook site that will not load photos?
Try also to check on the in-private version of the browser to see if it works from there.
Let me know if these works, if not let's continue working on it.
Regards,
