After I upgrade Edge browser to 92.0.902.55, the forward and back buttons of my Logitech mouse(Logitech anywhere2s) doesn't work. But they are still working if I use Safari browser on MacOS Big Sur 11.5.

Good day Mark_Lin! I am Independent Advisor Paul R. and I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to the back and forward button that is not working using your mouse after you did an update on your MS Edge. Kindly check and the try the methods/steps below and see how it goes.

Method 1:

  • Launch MS Edge
  • Click on the 3 dots
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Reset settings from the left side
  • Click on Restore settings to their default values and then click on Reset
  • After doing the above check and try it again

Method 2:

  • Open Finder and click on Applications
  • Look for MS Edge and right click on it and click on Move to Trash
  • If also you want to delete the other files associated with it (this is optional) then go back to Finder and then click on Go and then click on Go to Folder and then type in ~/Library and click on Go and once the Library folder shows up on screen then carefully delete the folders and the PLIST file present within the following locations

Library/Application Support/Microsoft Edge

Library/Caches/Microsoft Edge

Library/Saved Application State/com.microsoft.edgemac.savedState

Library/WebKit/com.microsoft.edgemac

Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.edgemac.plist

  • Head over to the link below and try to download the installer file (select the channel which is 91 and check the build of either 864.71 or 864.70)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...

  • Check if you will be able to install it to see if it will work afterwards

Method 3:

If you will continue to experience the issue even after trying the above and if you felt that this is with regards to the recent update, you can also send a feedback to the team that is working on Edge and hopefully a fix will be applied soon on the next update and you can provide a feedback from the browser itself by clicking on the 3 dots > Help and feedback > Send feedback.

Regards,

Paul R.
