How do you stop the new Widget "News and Interests" (Edge Bar) from loading everytime I restart?

This new Widget, EDGE BAR, even if I Turn it off or "quit", it reloads when I restart. I do not want that at all, but can see no way to stop it from reloading if I shut down or restart. When I right click the Taskbar it already shows it is turned off because I clicked Quit, but the next time I restart my PC it loads back up. How do I totally remove that News and Interest Widget from my PC so it does not reload?

This new Widget, EDGE BAR, ...

This feature has its own settings page: (Settings and more) > Settings > Edge bar. One of the options is Automatically open Edge bar when the computer starts, so try turning that Off.

Go to Settings / Edge bar and disable the option that says "Automatically open Edge bar when the computer starts". Hope that helps.

Carlo Thanks for your response, but I had already done all that. I did get another response from a "Firedog" in here, and his advise worked. I did not even consider going to Microsoft Edge Settings itself, but there it is in Edge settings to Turn it off permanently and you then can turn it on again.

Thanks You so very much. I never thought to go to Microsoft Edge Settings in Edge itself. That did the job.

    Thanks again.
