Is Microsoft offering the free web browser protection known as Total Webshield or is it just a well disguised scam?

Good Day KennethYoung5,
I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, thats an add in for browsers, no worries you have a built in antivirus called Windows Security that can protect your device from any malware intrusion.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
Sincerely,

WOW! I can assure you this scam will deceive many windows 10 and 11 users as it almost fooled me.
Here is how the link for the so-called Microsoft edge browser Total Webshield protection goes.
I did not copy and paste this link as in case of any malicious malware in the start of the link: I have just typed it out.
Why so many of these scam ad offers being allowed onto Microsoft or at least have a caveat emptor sign at the top of their location - almost seems that M is promoting them?
Thanks Carlo! Windows Security is a very good protection system already built into windows. At that point wondered why I would need anything else. The Total Webshield notice was in my feeds.
Here is the wording notice for the Total Wedshield notice (Ad) I will share with you as you can pass along if you wish. The ad is box shaped and is clickable. I did click and open and now hope by me doing so will not cause any issues with the Windows Security System that is in place?
Finally! Canada Residents get free Windows Protection (get it now)
Thanks again Carlo,
Kenneth
