Set up restrictions in search in Microsoft Edge

I would like to restrict adult content in web search in Microsoft Edge. I have windows 11. I sign into my account and go to Family safety app. At the top of this page “Your family” appears only one icon that represents myself. I do not have any other family members. Now from here I click on “Content filters” and then it shows instructions on how to set up restrictions in web search. There is not “Filter Inappropriate Websites” toggle. It shows only instructions. But according to these instructions when I click on “Content filters” the “Filter Inappropriate Websites” toggle must appear. It does not appear. It only shows the instructions. So I'm wondering what goes wrong. Could you please help me? Should I add another family member for this to work? But I do not have family members. It's only myself who uses the computer. And I would like to set up these restrictions for myself.

I would like to restrict adult content in web search in Microsoft Edge.

The ability to filter out certain content from search results depends on the search provider. In Edge, the default search provider is Bing, and Bing has three levels of filter:

To set the filter to your preference, make sure you're signed in to your Edge profile, then visit bing.com. Click on the menu icon ≡ in the top corner of the page and select Safe search. If you change the setting, be sure to click Save at the foot of the page.

    Hi Greg

Thanks for the quick reply. I much appreciate it. I didn't expect that from Microsoft Edge. I have set up these restrictions in Chrome and I thought I could do the same with Microsoft Edge. I might go for one of the paid parental apps you recommend.

Hi Ge. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Unfortunately you'd not be able to do that because you would be both parent and child and that's not possible unless you set up separate account for yourself.

You might want to look at some of the paid premium parental apps which have more features and support:

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

I'd like to ask iFiredog. I save the changes I've done in SafeSearch. Adult content won't show in search result. But then when I close the browser and reopen it, adult content will show in search. So I have to update the settings every time I close and reopen the browser. Something goes wrong but I don't know what is that.
