Hello,

I'm facing an SSL issue when I open a website on Microsoft Edge.

Here is the problem:

Error Message: ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

Unsupported protocol

It works fine on Google chrome but didn't work on the Microsoft browser

Can you help me how I can fix it? Here is the website URL ***

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the server's SSL certificate, so perhaps your own settings need adjustment.

    • Press Windows key + R to open a Run box, type inetcpl.cpl into the box and press Enter to open the Internet Properties dialogue.
    • On the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security section and ensure that your selections are like this:

Restart Edge and try the site again.

Good day! I'm Raniel. I understand your frustration regarding this issue and I'll do my best to help.

Just to clarify, did you also make any changes to your machine before encountering this issue? (like installing extensions, modifying the browser settings, etc..)

Kindly clear your browser cache and cookies, or try to reset the settings of MS Edge:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge and go to Settings and more (...) button from the top-right.
    2. Under the settings, click on Reset settings and select the reset option
    3. Reboot your machine then check again.

You may also use the InPrivate mode of MS Edge to login to the website(Open MS Edge and press Ctrl+Shift+P).

If that didn't work, go to Start > type "Internet Options" and open it > go to the Content tab > click on "Clear SSL state" and select OK. Once done, reboot your machine, temporarily disable your antivirus, then check again.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
