Adding comments to PDF Edge document

Hello, I have a PDF document, in which I have added a few Comments by 1. highlighting text, 2. right-click, 3. selecting "Add comment", 4. typing the comment, 5. selecting the green tick button which saves it.  Now when I try to add more comments, the tick is no longer green and no more comments can be saved.  Any way to solve this please?

I am having this issue with Edge. Specifically, if the comment is on a short piece of text (one word) the comment goes away. If I try commenting on a longer piece of text, it works fine

Thanks for the suggestion. That worked for one comment and then stopped working. I cannot add comments to a PDF. I have the option to add comments and the check mark is there. I click the check mark and there is nothing visible in the PDF.

    Hi everyone,

I know this was posted quite a while ago, but it looks like this thread has gotten some views recently. Hence, I wanted to check in and see if you (or anyone landing on this thread via search) are still seeing this behavior on the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re facing issues when adding comments on PDF using Microsoft Edge. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

We tried reproducing the issue on our lab machines, and we were able to add multiple comments on a PDF file.

I would suggest you to try resetting Microsoft Edge and see if that helps.

    1. Open Microsoft Edge
    2. Click on the **Ellipses(…)**on the top right corner of the screen
    3. Now click on Settingsand then select Reset Settingsfrom the left hand pane
    4. Click on Restore settings to their default values
    5. Relaunch Microsoft Edge and check

**Note:**This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. You favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.

Let us know if you need any further assistance, we will be glad to assist you.

    Regards,

Does it happen with any PDF files or just certain ones?
