Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge

Hi Community,

I’ve been trying to access an internet explorer website using my macbook on microsoft edge. however the website prompts me to download internet explorer 11 or higher in order to access.

however i have not found a solution.

    Thanks your the reply, however i am using microsoft edge on my macbook running on IOS and it seems there isn’t an option to enable internet explorer mode, or i’m not looking in the right places. ive tried going through the tutorial provided on microsoft edge website to enable but it does not appear.

    Sorry, I don't understand what it is you're trying to do. The web address you provided (https://esp.husky.ca/eSP/browser.jsp) is just a very old page that says to "upgrade" you browser. The home page of "https://esp.husky.ca" appears to work fine on any browser. Where is the compatibility issue?

    As already stated, IE mode does not exist in the Mac version of Edge, so any changes in regards to IE on June 15 are not applicable to the Mac.

    Edge IE Mode actually uses Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe) in the background on Windows. Therefore, it is not possible for this feature to exist in the Mac version of Edge. You would have to install Windows in a VM in order to use Internet Explorer or Edge in IE mode.

    Please Upgrade Your Browser (husky.ca)

    would I be able to access this website without internet explorer mode after June 15th when Microsoft official retires IE??

    Hi

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    You can try to log in to the website you want by turning on IE mode in edge.

    The steps to enable Internet Explorer mode depend on if you are using a personal device or one managed by your organization.

    If you are using a personal device, you can enable Internet Explorer mode by following the directions here. Note that you will need to restart Microsoft Edge for this setting to take effect.

    If your device is managed by your organization, an administrator will have to enable the policy to allow Internet Explorer mode.
