    Hello 実 神 谷, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand Edge is blocking downloads;

    Initially I recommend that you try the following;

    Open Edge and go to Settings;

    In the left menu, click on Privacy, Search and Services;

    Scroll down to Security and disable the options: "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen" and "Block Potentially Unwanted Applications";

    Restart your browser and try the download again;

    If it still doesn't work, try the following;

    Press Windows key + I and access Update and Security;

    Click Windows Security and then Open Windows Security;

    Click Application and Browser Control on the left;

    Click Reputation Based Protection Settings;

    Disable the options: "Scan apps and files", "SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge" and "Potentially unwanted app blocking";

    Now downloads will likely not be blocked;

    I hope I have helped, see you soon!

    Turning off SmartScreen is not the solution to this problem. If SmartScreen isn't allowed to compare the download against lists of known safe and malicious files and filetypes, Edge will block it - as you've discovered.

    Re-enable the SmartScreen and other options both in Windows Security (App & browser control > Reputation-based protection) and in Edge ( (Settings and more) > Settings > Privacy, search and services > Security). Then, when you see the message that 'file was blocked because ... ,' point at the filename to see the options available. If you see Keep, click it to allow the download to go ahead.

    You can read about current downloads security measures in this article: Interrupting Downloads of Potentially Dangerous Files | Microsoft Docs The latest enhancement to these measures was added in May 2021.

    Hi LuizScruz,

    I'd turned off but Edge is still blocking my download
    I doubt it stealthily judges and blocks i.e. certain file type?
