I'm trying to get OneDrive to play a MKV or a MP4 file through, the Microsoft edge browser, but every time Microsoft edge opens the shared video link, microsoft edge/ and/or onedrive: shows the error: "Sorry, there was a problem loading, the video"

The video(s) plays fine through movies and tv and the new media player app, plus editing video software, what format do I need to convert the videos for them to work on the OneDrive.com website?

    Hello Francis,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Is the system able to play the video after it has been downloaded instead of directly through OneDrive inbuilt browser?

One thing to note is that the codec used during the making of the video can be an issue. While the format can be .mkv or mp4 the source of the video file using a different compression can make it incompatible with the limited support of OneDrive built in browser.

If possible can the video be shared so that I can test it out on my end to see if it plays here?
