How to get new tabs in Edge to open with a page of my choice

I have figured out how to change the default page when I first open Edge to a website I want.

But when I cllck on the tab to open new pages, it defaults back to the webpage that comes with Edge. I'd like to change the tab pages to a website / page of my choice, but I can't see how to do this.

There's one option in Settings which is says "Customize your new tab page layout and content" but when I click on this it only open up the default page, and doesn't give me any options to choose another tab default page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but that is a really dumb way for MS to set up their browser! There is no reason for it, other than they want to force people to use their default home page. It shows that what they really care about is the bottom line - trying to make profits and sell advertising.

Hello , sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

Unfortunately Edge does not allow this. But there is a not too complicated way to get around it.

You only need to download from Edge a Google Chrome extension.

That is to say, you must go to the site below of google from Edge and download this extension.

    "New Tab Redirect"

I also put you a video tutorial that demonstrates how to install it properly step by step.

I tested it and it works number one
