Edge - Remove Office 365 & Weather shortcuts from browser

Once again, Microsoft is cluttering Edge with capabilities that not all customers want.

Now, whenever I start Edge, it assumes that I want shortcuts to Office 365 and local weather. If you look at the screenshot of Edge below, you will find a 9-dot icon that opens shortcuts to Office 365 apps I don't subscribe to (don't have or want a Cloud account).

How can I get rid of this nuisance?

Hi pragmaticron, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

Unfortunately, the App launcher is part of the new tab page so it can't be removed. However, you can remove the weather from displaying. Just click on the gear icon on your new tab page then scroll down and toggle off the Show greeting option

    Paulo,

Thank you for the quick reply and the "partial" fix you provided is very much appreciated.

I don't know why Microsoft shoves apps I can't use in my face. It's no way to build customer satisfaction and loyalty--It's arrogant in my opinion.

    Have a great day,

    Prag
