Installing or updating Microsoft Edge on older Windows versions
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Does anybody know how to download edge for MS server 2016? I have tried a couple of links and keep getting a prompt to open an app. It says: You'll need a new app to open this microsoft-edge
Since IE is going away is there an alternative?
Thanks for the help.

Hi brown76
I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .
Make sure server is install mode if using RDS server (change user /install)
From the link below, download the offline installer for the stable release of Edge version 89 for Windows 10 64bit
I am a user running Windows Server 2016. The advice from Dave worked for me and I now have edge on my machine.
Thanks!
