I Want To Block Porn Websites But Don't Know How

Hello, I hope you are all having a wonderful evening. I have used the extension that came preinstalled with Microsoft Edge browser to block Reddit.com and other porn websites. But now it blocks my school website and my school email. How do I make it so it can block adult websites while still letting me doing university coursework online? I have previously tried to block the IP Addresses of those websites with Windows FIrewall Defender and that didn't work, and before that I had tried using the old hosts files method that I had previously used on another computer but that didn't work either. Why does Microsoft make it so difficult to block porn websites? I am aware I can just use Safe Search but that is too easy for me to disable. I need a method that is difficult for me to disable so that I don't view porn.

EDIT SOLUTION FOUND

To anyone else experiencing a similar problem, I have successfully managed to block websites by logging into my router.

Just google ''what is my ip address''

then paste that number into an empty web page on your browser,

then for username type admin,

then for password type password

then it will ask you to make a new password

then it will ask you to login again with your new password

then you go to parental controls in your router settings

then next to blocked sites click add

then paste the URL for the site you want to block

you have to do this individually one by one for each website you want to block

you have to wait a few minutes for the router to change its settings

at first i thought it wasnt working cuz i could still go to websites i had blocked

but then i wasnt able to go those websites, so wait a few minutes for the change to work

it basically works by simply making the website simply get stuck on loading, so it never loads.

    I know reddit is not specifically a ****, but there is a lot of subreddits with **** them so I want to block it

    also i dont want to pay for software or services, the majority of the options in those links you have to pay a monthly fee for and i dont want to do that

    I see you've found your User name and made the necessary changes in your router.

    I also tried blocking porn by logging into my router but I don't know my username. I cannot find my username anywhere in my Xfinity account.
