Dear MarkDomingo1,the Edge bar works as a Widget so you can watch news, check the weather, without having to open a full browser window;
See more information about Edge bar at the link below:

Note: This is not an official Microsoft website but it appears to be providing safe and accurate information;
I hope I have helped, see you soon!
Hi,
I meant the Edge bar. I want to use it like a website widget that shows /pins webpages in my desktop. Right now it only shows the updates like the one in the desktop widget bar and it's not any different so what's the purpose of this edge bar in microsoft edge?
Dear MarkDomingo1,to add these sites do the following;
Open Edge and go to Settings;
In the left menu click on "Start, Home and New Tabs";
Select the option "Open these pages" and click on Add a new page;
Paste the URL of the website you want to launch along with Edge, example: https://www.spotify.com/ and click add;
Repeat this process for each site you want to add;
Close and open the browser;
I hope I have helped, see you soon!
thanks! and how can I pin the websites that I want like spotify/youtube or Facebook etc? so I can play them on the background?
