    Dear MarkDomingo1,the Edge bar works as a Widget so you can watch news, check the weather, without having to open a full browser window;

    See more information about Edge bar at the link below:

    Note: This is not an official Microsoft website but it appears to be providing safe and accurate information;

    I hope I have helped, see you soon!

    Hi,

    I meant the Edge bar. I want to use it like a website widget that shows /pins webpages in my desktop. Right now it only shows the updates like the one in the desktop widget bar and it's not any different so what's the purpose of this edge bar in microsoft edge?

    Dear MarkDomingo1,to add these sites do the following;

    Open Edge and go to Settings;

    In the left menu click on "Start, Home and New Tabs";

    Select the option "Open these pages" and click on Add a new page;

    Paste the URL of the website you want to launch along with Edge, example: https://www.spotify.com/ and click add;

    Repeat this process for each site you want to add;

    Close and open the browser;

    I hope I have helped, see you soon!

    Hello MarkDomingo1, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    Do you want to change the search engine on Edge?

    Open Edge and click (...) in the upper right corner to access Settings;

    In the left menu click on Privacy, search and services;

    Scroll down and click Search and Address Bar;

    Under "Search engine used in address bar" change the option to the desired engine;

    Under "Search new tabs uses search box or address bar" change the option to Search box;

    Click Manage Search Engines;

    Now click (...) next to the desired search engine and select the option "Create pattern";

    If your engine is not on the list, click Add;

    In search engine type the desired name;

    In Keyword enter the URL of the desired search engine example: google.com

    Click Save and select the pattern;

    Restart the Browser and verify that the search engine is as desired;

    I hope I have helped, see you soon!
