In Internet Explorer , the add to favorites option allowed me to bookmark links on a webpage without opening them, but in Microsoft Edge this is not included and to bookmark the links I have to open them first in tabs , which increases number of open tabs and consumes resources and time, I know I can add them to collections and export, but I want to add them directly to Favorites just as in case of Internet Explorer where I right clicked on a link or a webpage and I could bookmark it by "Add to Favorites" option.

dragging many links to favorite bar will fill it and then I will have to move them to other desired folder in bookmarks
Create the folder first, then drop the link on to the folder. It will open so you can place it accurately. Do you need another video clip?
thanks, It can be done and also 2nd way is the menu of add to favorites appears if I open the webpage in IE mode in EDGE....
