I have been having A LOT of trouble in trying to enable picture-in-picture mode. I have gone to cookies and permissions and scrolled through the list but nowhere can I find the picture in picture mode. I also went to the flags on edge and there are no Global Media Controls. I even went onto my Microsoft edge extensions to add an extension for it and I typed in picture-in-picture but it said that there are no results for that. Can someone please assist me with this? I have tried everything. I don't want to switch to Chrome to use the feature.

thank you for the help. Seems pretty dumb for Microsoft to remove it since it seems like a lot of people use it. I enjoyed watching videos while doing other tasks at the same time. Seems like picture-in-picture mode only works on YouTube videos by right-clicking twice, but I use the feature for other sites too while I do my school work. Thank you for the recommendation too. I was unable to find a good extension for my device before.

You're very welcome, Jamie. As I'm checking its whereabouts, turns out the flags are removed since it is now running in Edge natively. This means that videos online will have this as long as they support PIP but some sites like Netflix blocked this feature. With the use of an extension, you can bypass this on Netflix, and personally, I'd use an extension on YT to enable this rather than right-clicking twice. :)

Hi JamieMonroy, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

It seems that the option to enable this feature in edge://flags was removed. I'm still trying to find out why but I found extensions that work and can be an alternative

Or the extension created by Google
