I'm trying to go to a website that was letting me go to it before just fine, and as soon as I tried opening it a few hours later, It says these exact words:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

[The website I was trying to go to] sent an invalid response.

Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

I am on Opera GX if you need that information, but PLEASE help me. I want to get this fixed as soon as I can. Thank you.

Hello Darkfire2083, how are you doing?

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

I'm glad to be able to assist you at this time.

The ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR message can occur due to a variety of reasons, and troubleshooting the issue will depend on the specific cause.

Here are some possible causes and solutions you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Incorrect system time and date:

SSL/TLS certificates have an expiration date, and if your computer's date and time are incorrect, it may cause an SSL/TLS error. Make sure that your system time and date are set correctly.

    -

    1. Browser cache and cookies:

Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can sometimes resolve SSL/TLS errors.

    -

    1. Antivirus or firewall software:

Some antivirus or firewall software can interfere with SSL/TLS encryption. Try temporarily disabling these programs to determine if they are causing the issue.

    -

    1. Outdated browser or operating system:

Ensure that your browser and operating system are up to date, as older versions may not support the latest SSL/TLS encryption protocols.

    -

    1. SSL certificate issues:

If the SSL/TLS certificate for the website you are trying to access has expired or has other issues, you may encounter an SSL/TLS error. Try accessing the website from a different browser or device to see if the issue persists.

    -

    1. Server misconfiguration:

Sometimes, the SSL/TLS error can occur due to server misconfiguration. In such cases, the only solution is to contact the website administrator and report the issue.

Hello! I am doing good, and for the browser cache and cookies would I have to clear all time data or just something like last week?

Glad to hear that you're doing well!

Regarding clearing the browser cache and cookies, it's recommended to clear all time data to ensure that any potential conflicts or errors are removed. You can also try clearing just the data from the last week, but if the issue persists, clearing all time data may be necessary.
