Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello,
I have been trying to downgrad MS Edge version or uninstall and install lower version.
Nothing works. Downgrade is impossible, uninstall is impossible, only deleting files and installing browser again.
But I cannot download working ms edge version 115.0.1901.203 anywhere. Can you please help how to downgrade MS edge from current version 116.0.1938.29 to 115.0.1901.203 or any other previous.
Thank you

Hi Jaspreet,
thank you for the link to the catalogue. I think the problem was that I didn't noticed the version for x86 based Edition.
I found a cmd command to block automatic updates for MS Edge :
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Disable Edge Updates" dir=out action=block program="C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe"
Then I downloaded the previous version of MS Edge on : https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=microsoft%20edge%20115 rollbacked MS using cmd:
*C:\Users\XXX\Downloads>*msiexec /I MicrosoftEdgeEnterpriseX86.msi ALLOWDOWNGRADE=1
Now I have downgraded MS Edge version with blocked updating and everything works as usual.
Thank you for help, hopefully this will help somebody as well.
Hi Jorge,
you can either disable the firewall rule via commad :
netsh.exe advfirewall firewall delete rule name="Disable Edge Updates" program="C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe"
or via GUI :
in Windows search find : Windows Firewall with Advanced Security -> in Outbound Rules -> locate Rule named '' Disable Edge Updates '' and manually delete it
Hello, rafan12
How about if at some point I'd want to resume automatic Edge updates? What would be the command?
I think I can see this is a firewall rule that I can delete, but I'd like to make sure it can be deleted in the GUI.
You are very welcome Rafan12. I wish you a great day ahead.
Hello Rafan12,
I am Jaspreet Singh.
While the update can be downloaded from here : https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search...
You won’t be able to downgrade edge. The only way to do so is to rollback to the time the previous version was available.
Even that is useless since the browser will auto update to latest version again.
