Managing media playback issues and settings in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Okay, this is very strange and specific.
Whenever a video is playing, like in youtube or Netflix for example, and I change the volume or the screen brightness, the video whitens a little. The colors look off, and the blacks turn to greys.
This also happens whenever any UI from windows pops up, so the calendar in the bottom right for example, or the low battery message.
The only way to make the video go back to normal is to refresh the page.
I updated and ever reinstalled edge and it doesn't change anything

Hi Matias,
I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.
Can you try to disable Hardware Acceleration in Microsoft Edge?
> Go to ... in the top right > Settings.
> Go to System and performance > Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
> Restart MS Edge and see if it changes anything.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
If you want, you can try to update the GPU driver and MS Edge to the latest version then enable the Hardware acceleration again.
I notice it affects google maps zooming, it becomes extremely twitchy and zooms all the way in or out at a touch of the mouse scroll.
It's a trade off i suppose
It could be a bug with your display driver or the browser itself.
Anyway, I'm glad that I could help you. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask again.
Stay safe always and have a great day.
Thanks.
ay caaaray it worked!
Thank you very much!
Out of curiosity, why do you think it did that?
