Microsoft Edge was updated on my computer today. Now, every time I click on ANYTHING a Microsoft window pops up with "open in new window" and other options, or a window with emoji's, etc. I cannot stop it.

    Hi PCathy,

Good day! I’m Jhakesong and I'll try to help you today.

The popup windows only occurs when you click anything in the Edge app? It could be clicking links, back button or refresh? If you can still get to Edge's settings, please try a Reset.

    Here's how:

    1. In Edge, click the 3 dots
    2. Go to Settings
    3. Click Reset Settings
    4. Relaunch Edge after the process is done, check if the same issue occurs.

If the same problem occurs, I suggest trying system restore to override the bad update on Edge.

    1. Click Search
    2. Type restore
    3. Open create a restore point
    4. Click the system restore button
    5. Hit Next
    6. Pick a restore point (Preferably a date before the issue happened)
    7. Wait for the process to finish.

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!
