Is there a way to use Edge's Drop feature to share photos among friends? Like Airdrop does? Or is its communication limited to one Microsoft Account? (This question pertains to all operating systems, though the drop down list forced me to pick one).

Thank you. You can always send feedback to Microsoft using either the Feedback Hub(https://aka.ms/windowsfeedbackapp) or Alt+Shift+I in MS Edge.
If nearby sharing worked across android, Windows, iOS, and Mac, that would be more useful than AirDrop. I sincerely hope Microsoft looks into this - it's Apples bag to not play well with others; one of the main reasons I avoid using their products. Edge drop might be useful to me if it's more convenient than nearby sharing, but with a name like that, it sure seems like at least Microsoft's Marketing department knows what they're competing against.
Hi Caresrg,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.
No, Edge Drop is intended to use for those who use Edge on phones, and PCs i.e. many devices. I use it on my iPad, Phone and Windows PC, so it is very beneficial for folks like myself.
For sharing with Friends, the recommended way is to use Nearby Sharing in Windows, or use the Onedrive share link feature.
I have heard for Android, they have built a nearby sharing native app too.
Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
