I have ShellPage popping up on my screen quite often and is such a nuisance and waste of time.

I am guessing This is what he means. I get the same thing. It never ever loads no matter how long you let it load for.
Any page that I re-open when I open up my laptop will automatically redirect to this never-loading page. Even when I switch between certain pages while actively using them, it will redirect without warning.
This seems to be a problem on child accounts under Microsoft family features. I saw elsewhere to disable "startup boost" and "Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed," both found in the settings panel under system and performance. Then run the command: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-features=msUndersideButton in your command prompt. This fix did not work for me, but maybe it'll work for you.
Would you happen to know how to disable child accounts? My mother gifted me a laptop last year and we have done everything possible to get rid of it. I left the family group, she removed me from it, messed around with settings. I still have to ask permission for certain things that are ridiculous.
I think i found an answer, click on the 3 dots on the top right corner of microsoft edge and click on settings and go to "system and performance", disable "Startup Boost" and "Continue running background extensions and apps when..." etc.
And also go to "Sidebar" and under "Customize sidebar" disable "Always show sidebar" and under "App and Notification settings" (same page), click on "Discover" and disable "Show Discover"
Hello Nelson. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.
By "Shell page" do you mean the Command Prompt or Powershell box?
If so try these fixes:

If this is not exactly what you need, please explain a bit more so I can help you better. Otherwise feel free to ask back questions and keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until this is resolved.
