Edge Version 110.0.1587.41 no longer works with SAP Business Objects 4.2

There is a bug in the Chromium engine 110.### and SAP Business Objects 4.2. When running a report on Business Objects 4.2 the run box appears but the report is actually never sent to the server and is not running. We have this issue with Google Chome current releases 110.0.5481.77 or 110.0.5481.78. Google verified it is a bug but no solution yet. It seems Edge is also affected by this same bug. How do we log an actual bug/defect for edge so we can get this patched and repaired. ( We did verify it is not an issue with SAP Business Objects. this is on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms.

    It would be helpful if we can have insight from MS support on when the fix included yesterday in Chromium and the latest Chrome build will be pushed to Edge.

    From what I can see here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-release-schedule it seems the next planned Edge release to Stable will be the week of March 9th. Is there any consideration to push a public release out sooner that would contain the fix?

    This thread has 1700+ views and climbing so it is apparent this issue affects many many users.

    Update: Tested on Edge "canary" build Version 112.0.1683.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) and the issue still exists there.

    Hi all,

    Just checked this morning and it looks like Microsoft have issued a new patch yesterday 16th Feb:

    Microsoft Edge release notes for Stable Channel | Microsoft Learn

    Version 110.0.1587.49: February 16, 2023

    Fixed various bugs and performance issues for Stable and Extended Stable release.

    Have updated in our Business and it seems to fix the issue with the never ending query refresh in SAP BO.

    Appreciate the update but some comms would have been nice.

    Hi All,

    threre is a basic workaround which our helpdesk guys found .

    For Edge :

    1. Go Settings > Default browser
    2. Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet explorer mode
    3. Add your site (https://xxyy.com.tr:8443/BOE/BI) to "Internet Exlporer mode pages" list

    it works if you open BOE in IE11 compatibility mode.

    Yeah I've just retested and Version 110.0.1587.50 does seem to be working ok with refresh of reports on BO.

    We had a user report it again this morning and I also seemed to experience the same but it may have been a connection or cache issue. On the re-test the latest version does seem to be refreshing properly. I know Beth mentioned previously she was also having an issue.

    Hopefully it may have been the same for her, but for the moment we appear to be working on on Version 110.0.1587.50.
